Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Fliqit iOS application, share extension, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using Fliqit, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Fliqit. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

2. What Fliqit Does

Fliqit processes screenshots and other images you choose to share, generates proposed calendar-event details, and lets you review those details before they are sent to Google Calendar. Fliqit may also offer optional features such as multiple-event extraction, recurring-event suggestions, destination-calendar selection, or auto-add for events that meet disclosed confidence rules.

Except where you have expressly enabled a clearly disclosed auto-add feature, Fliqit will not create an event until you approve it. You remain responsible for reviewing all event information and for managing your calendar.

3. Google Account and Calendar Access

You must authorize a supported Google account to use Calendar features. You represent that you are authorized to use the account and calendars you connect. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and device.

You may disconnect Fliqit or revoke its Google authorization at any time. Revocation may prevent screenshot processing or calendar insertion until you reconnect. Use of Google services is also governed by Google's terms and policies.

4. Your Images and Content

You retain ownership of screenshots, images, text, edits, and other content you submit ("User Content"). You grant Fliqit a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, transform, analyze, and display User Content solely as necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the user-requested Service.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to share User Content with Fliqit. Do not upload content unlawfully or use Fliqit to violate another person's privacy, intellectual-property rights, confidentiality obligations, or other rights.

5. AI-Generated Results and Calendar Accuracy

Fliqit uses automated systems that can make mistakes. Extracted titles, dates, times, timezones, locations, notes, calendar choices, and recurrence rules may be inaccurate or incomplete. An apparently high confidence score is not a guarantee.

You are responsible for checking event details before approval and for confirming important plans with the original source. Fliqit is not a substitute for official schedules, tickets, reservations, school notices, work instructions, emergency alerts, medical guidance, or legal deadlines. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fliqit is not responsible for missed, duplicated, early, late, or incorrectly scheduled events caused by source content, automated extraction, connectivity, third-party services, or your approval choices.

6. Free Service and Fliqit Pro

Fliqit may offer a Free tier with usage limits and a paid Fliqit Pro subscription with additional or expanded features. Current feature descriptions, limits, prices, billing periods, trials, and renewal terms are displayed in the app and in Apple's purchase interface before you buy. We may adjust future Free-tier limits or Pro features, but changes do not alter rights already provided by an active purchase except as permitted by law and Apple's rules.

Apple in-app purchases

Digital subscriptions and upgrades offered in the iOS app are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.

Prices, taxes, refunds, billing disputes, restoration, Family Sharing availability, and payment processing are governed by Apple and applicable law. Deleting Fliqit or disconnecting Google Calendar does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not:

• use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, deceptive, or harmful activity;
• upload content you do not have the right to process;
• attempt to access another user's account, drafts, tokens, or calendar;
• bypass usage limits, payment controls, authentication, or security measures;
• probe, scan, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service except where applicable law expressly permits;
• use automated means to scrape or access the Service outside documented interfaces;
• introduce malware or harmful code; or
• use Fliqit or its output to develop, train, or benchmark a competing service without written permission.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how Fliqit handles information, including screenshots, parsed drafts, Google authorization, Calendar data, and purchase entitlements. By using the Service, you acknowledge those practices.

9. Fliqit Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, logos, characters, text, and other materials provided by Fliqit, is owned by Fliqit or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, Fliqit grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose.

If you provide ideas or feedback, you grant Fliqit permission to use them without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you as the source without permission.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on third parties such as Apple, Google, Supabase, Cloudflare, and AI providers. Their services may be unavailable, changed, limited, or governed by separate terms. Fliqit is not responsible for third-party products or services and does not control their availability.

11. Changes, Suspension, and Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service, including beta features, to maintain security, comply with law or platform rules, prevent abuse, or improve the product. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create risk for users or the Service, fail to pay applicable charges, or misuse third-party integrations.

You may stop using Fliqit at any time. You may disconnect Google Calendar, revoke Google access, and request deletion of applicable account data. Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute provisions, will survive.

12. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." FLIQIT DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND SECURITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT AUTOMATED RESULTS WILL BE CORRECT.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FLIQIT AND ITS DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITY; OR MISSED, DUPLICATED, OR INCORRECT EVENTS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FLIQIT'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO FLIQIT THROUGH APPLE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US$50.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Fliqit and its developers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your User Content, or your material violation of these Terms or another person's rights.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live, disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Before filing a claim, please contact [email protected] and provide a short description of the issue so we can try to resolve it informally.

16. General Terms

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them in connection with a business reorganization or transfer of the Service. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Fliqit regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version, change the effective date, and provide additional notice when required. Continuing to use the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
