Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Fliqit ("Fliqit," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Fliqit iOS application, share extension, website, support channels, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Fliqit turns screenshots and other images you choose to share into calendar events. Events go to Google Calendar through our servers, or are written directly on your device to Apple Calendar, whichever you choose. When event details appear sufficiently clear and you have enabled automatic adding, Fliqit may add the event without asking. If important details are unclear, Fliqit holds the result in the app for review instead.

1. Information We Collect

Account and sign-in information

You can sign in with Google or with Apple. When you connect Google, we may receive your Google account identifier, email address, name, profile image, OAuth authorization information, and access and refresh tokens. When you sign in with Apple, we receive the account identifier Apple issues for Fliqit and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address (which may be Apple's private relay address). Credentials are kept on the server and are not embedded in the iOS app or exposed to other users.

Calendar information

Google Calendar. With your permission, Fliqit may read a limited list of calendars available to your account so you can choose a destination and may create or update calendar events from images you share. Event information may include title, date, time, timezone, recurrence, location, notes, selected calendar, and the identifier or link returned by Google for an event Fliqit created.

Apple Calendar. If you choose Apple Calendar as your destination, approved events are written on your device using iOS calendar access. That writing happens locally: the resulting calendar events are not transmitted to Fliqit's servers, and we do not read your Apple Calendar. The server still processes the shared image to extract the event details, and is told only that the result was added or discarded so your free allowance stays correct.

Images and extracted event data

We process screenshots or images that you intentionally share with Fliqit. Images may contain text, names, locations, contact details, or other information visible in the image. To read the event details, the image you share is sent to Google's Gemini AI for processing. Only images you choose to share are sent, they are used solely to extract event details, and they are not used to train advertising models. We may keep the image, extracted text, event fields, confidence indicators, edits, and processing status for up to 24 hours so the Service can create an event, show an uncertain result, retry, or troubleshoot. The current system does not treat screenshots as permanent records.

Purchase and entitlement information

If you buy Fliqit Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card or bank details. To verify the purchase, we receive and store transaction identifiers and entitlement details from Apple, such as the product bought, the original transaction identifier, and any expiry date, and we associate them with your account. We also keep a count of how many Fliqs you have used to apply the free allowance.

Technical and support information

We and our infrastructure providers may automatically process basic request and diagnostic information, such as IP address, timestamps, request status, app version, device and operating-system information, crash details, and security signals. If you contact support, we collect the information you provide in the message and subsequent correspondence.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• authenticate users and maintain secure sessions;
• connect, verify, and refresh calendar authorization;
• verify purchases with Apple and apply the matching plan and limits;
• process images and generate draft event details;
• create events automatically when important details appear sufficiently clear;
• show uncertain results in the app for review instead of adding them automatically;
• remember calendar choices and product preferences;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
• respond to support, privacy, and legal requests; and
• comply with law and protect users, Fliqit, and the public.

We do not sell personal information, use Google Calendar data for advertising, or use screenshots to build advertising profiles.

3. AI Processing and Calendar Accuracy

Fliqit uses automated image and language analysis to identify event details. AI output can be incomplete, ambiguous, or wrong, and clear-looking results may be added to your calendar automatically. You should check newly created events and independently confirm important dates, times, timezones, locations, recurrences, and notes. Fliqit does not use this automated processing to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Google API Data and Limited Use

Fliqit requests only the Google permissions needed to identify your account, display calendars you can use, maintain the connection, and create events from images you share. We do not access unrelated Google services.

Fliqit's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not transfer Google user data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or third parties for personalized advertising. Human access to Google user data is limited to circumstances permitted by Google policy, such as with your affirmative consent, for security or abuse investigation, to comply with law, or when access is necessary to operate or support a user-requested feature.

5. When We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to:

• Service providers. Cloud infrastructure, database, AI-processing, email, diagnostics, and security providers that process information on our behalf under appropriate obligations. Current core providers may include Supabase, Google (including Google Calendar and Gemini), Apple, and Cloudflare.
• At your direction. For example, when you share an image and Fliqit creates an event in the calendar you chose.
• Legal and safety recipients. When reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, address fraud or abuse, or protect rights, safety, and security.
• Business-transfer recipients. In connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.

We require service providers handling user data for us to use it only to provide contracted services and to maintain protections appropriate to the information involved.

6. Retention and Deletion

• Screenshots and draft data: generally retained for no more than 24 hours, after which expired drafts are scheduled for deletion.
• Google authorization: retained while your Calendar connection or account remains active, unless you disconnect, revoke access through Google, or request deletion.
• Purchase and entitlement records: retained while your account exists and as needed for fraud prevention, accounting, and legal compliance.
• Account and usage records: retained while needed to provide the Service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
• Support and security records: retained only as long as reasonably necessary for support, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, and legal compliance.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from encrypted backups or records we must preserve for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security reasons. Such information remains protected and is deleted or isolated in accordance with applicable retention practices.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

• decline to share an image, review uncertain results, or edit and delete created events in Google Calendar;
• disconnect Google Calendar or Apple Calendar from Fliqit;
• revoke Fliqit's Google access at Google Account Permissions, and revoke iOS calendar permission in Settings › Fliqit;
• manage sign-in with Apple at appleid.apple.com;
• delete your Fliqit account from inside the app (Settings › Delete Account), which deletes your account, calendar authorization, and pending drafts from our systems — events already on your calendar, and purchases recorded by Apple, are not affected;
• request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of applicable personal information by contacting us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, appeal a decision, or lodge a complaint with a privacy regulator. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections, server-side credential storage, signed sessions, access controls, and database protections that block direct public access to sensitive tables. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Processing

Fliqit and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Fliqit, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Fliqit changes. We will post the revised policy here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice or request consent when required by law or Google API policy. Materially different uses of Google user data will not begin without the notices and permissions required by applicable policy.
